3rd Annual Affiliate Marketers Alliance Networking Dinner 2006

The first year, we had a great time chatting and learning from one another. The 2nd year, we had an even better time eating great food and networking. On February 18, 2006, the Affiliate Marketers Alliance hosted their 3rd Annual Networking Dinner in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

The event formally kicked off at 6:30pm but guests were already arriving by 6:00pm. The first hour or so was a general networking session – chatting happening in every corner of the room and everyone enjoying the appetizers. I then gave a quick welcome speech introducing the sponsors, Chris Sanderson and Linda Woods (you can check out the opening remarks video below). A 3-course dinner was then served while chatting and networking continued at each table. As the desserts were cleared away, attendees had a chance to mingle and continue the chatting. This went on until about 1 am.

“Participants came from all over the place, Chicago, New York, California, Washington, Calgary, Montreal, Thailand and of course Vancouver, a good mix of merchants, OPMs, networks (ShareAsale, ShareResults, KB!, OrangeMetrics), affiliates, a CPA network, education and support firms and also people interested in learning about affiliate network from a Vancouer Business Group and the “Vancouver Wired Women” group.” blogged by Chris Sanderson from AMWSO.

I have always believed that there is a strong group of Internet Marketers in and around the Vancouver region. It is definitely great to see our attendance double since last year. I am also extremely excited to receive all the positive attendee feedback; and results from the post-event survey suggested that a longer networking event is in high demand. The majority of respondents definitely want more Internet Marketing events in the near future.

Who knows, maybe there will be another event planned… hopefully, sooner rather than later. To be notified of future events, sign up to my contact list.
